- The Knipser winery is run by the talented and genial brothers Werner and Volker Knipser in the small village of Laumersheim.
- The Knipsers are considered one of the top red wine houses of Germany, excelling with Pinot Noir, Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah. They also produce highly-rated white wines. The Knipsers make excellent dry Rieslings, but also cultivate other varietals, such as Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Gewurztraminer.
