- Graben Gritsch is from the Wachau in Austria, which could be considered the Napa valley of Gruner Veltliner. The ancient vineyards are terraced along the Danube river. The Gruners from this estate are so intense in their minerality that they are literally liquid stones in a glass. Magellan is pleased to have our first winery from this region in our portfolio.

Grüner Veltliner Steinfeder Setzäcker
On the nose herbs and white pepper. Crisp grapefruit and apple on the palate with white pepper spicyness on the finish. Very refreshing! 166 cases produced. 11.5% Alc.
Grüner Veltliner Federspiel Steinterrassen
smokey gun flint on the nose. On the palate, rich and viscous with grapefruit and herbs, spicy white pepper and intense stony minerality. 416 cases produced. 12.5% Alc.
Grüner Veltliner Schön Smaragd
Josef Gritsch’s vineyards are in Spitz at the western, cool end of the Wachau. So although this is a richer Smaragd style of wine, it is still crisp, cool and fresh. The green fruits dominate, with just a hint of sweeter spiced pineapple. 166 cases produced. 13% Alc.
Riesling Bruck Federspiel
A rich Austrian Riesling, but also cool and poised in character. Lightly aromatic. Currants and spicy fruit offer delicious crispness. 250 cases produced. 12% Alc.
